South California S.Diego and LA
Still trying to catch up with this.
Jushua Tree is something completely different than expected, after spending hours straight linning it through the mohave desert I could only relate joshua tree to the the Flinstones world.
Just seemed so colourful and unique. Start by showing what I mean.
I’m sure must people that love to travel have wanted to tour along Route 66 sometime or another. I think originally the road went from chicago to LA. Now in parts it’s actually difficut to follow as it just die’s and you have to pick up a free way until you can find it once again.
OK this is getting a little confusing now, I have to catch up with this thing because it’s hard thinking back what I did.
I haven’t bothered to post for a bit, but I’ll try to update it as best as possible. After a little disaster which was colorado with loads of snow, Which isn’t fun in a car with loads of torque and big wide tyres. I drove a little south and then headed over to Utah.
After I got that daily grave browsing out of my system, It’s on to the next destination. I planned to head West to Sandia Peak, It looked to me like a very tastie bit of landscape in central new mexico (the genital state of the rockies).
The reason I liked Lake Sumner as a first destination is that is was really close to a town with a strangely familiar name. Fort Sumner. “Here lies the grave of billy the Kid”. Or does it you may ask. Reading up on the grave of Billy the Kid it seams it’s as mysterious as The guy him self. I read in a rag of integrity that the avg female customer of “The Dirty Murphies public house” has had her virginty stolen less times than the Gravestone of Billy the Kid. Now I really doubt this, But it’s an interesting story ntl…
I didn’t really get away on time leaving fort worth. Too much stuff to store and no plans what to do with everything. Anyhow I finally got away mid day and the navigation guessed I’d arrive 1:50AM in fort sumner, New mexico. The thought of errecting the tent in the dark wasn’t a happy one, but what the hell least I’m on my way now.
this is totally draft, but hopefully setting off Tuesday. Watch this space.

Finally got a little time to sift through the mexico pics.. here you are ..
